North Central Square Park
East Village // New Park as part of Andia's development
Currently under construction in East village is Andia by Bosa, a new condo building. But as part of their project they are building a park on what is currently their prep area. This park now called North Central Square Park is going to be impactful. It is located in a rapidly developing part of downtown, with many buildings planned, under construction, or recently built nearby.
This park, expected to open along side Andia in Spring 2027 takes up 1/3rd of a block and Bosa will spend 9 million dollars (not including land value) on it as part of their agreement with the city. This is where their Developer Impact Fees are being spent. Bosa is to design, construct, and hand this park over to the city with public involvement into what amenities and structures people want at this park.
However until Andia gets closer to the end of construction, this park can not be built on. They are expecting construction of the park to start late 2026 and have an ambitious completion date of Spring 2027. In the public involvement page they are proposing a symphony theme for the park, being located a block from the San Diego Symphony.
