Situated only a block away from the City College trolley station and nestled in the northeast corner of downtown San Diego, Pinnacle’s proposed Pacific Heights brings a welcome addition to a relatively less dense area of the urban core.

With 60 affordable and 492 total units, the 31 story project will add much needed housing supply to an underutilized plot of downtown. With 2,250 square feet of retail, Pacific Heights will have space for valuable ground floor shops. The plot is currently only occupied by surface parking and a McDonald’s.

This project is notable because it is a return of a controversial project. When originally proposed the project had a "poor door" for the residents of the affordable segment of the project. They had planned to use an affordable housing density bonus to get more units and a higher FAR for the property. This may to no longer be the case but at this time it is currently unknown.
