The Poway Paseo is a mixed-used housing project being developed at 13247 Poway Road, about 0.15 miles west of Community Road. Initially conceptualized as “The Outpost” in 2018, and anticipated to be completed by 2019, construction faced numerous slowdowns after demolition of the site’s two freestanding commercial structures were completed in 2018. In 2023, the Kassab family took over the project from Canadian group Capexico; the new contractor responsible for the building is now construction company T.B. Penick & Sons.

This new development is set to feature 72 residential units: 22 one-bedroom units and 50 two-bedroom units. Furthermore, four units will integrate live-work spaces, and fourteen units will include lofts. Beyond housing, Poway Paseo boasts 20 thousand square feet of commercial space to be used by various retailers and even a luxurious restaurant. According to the developers, the specific commercial businesses at this project will be finalized by October.
Previously causing delays was flooding of the 335-stall underground parking lot, an issue which has since been fixed, and developers claim that the engineering issues plaguing the construction process have been resolved. In total, Poway Paseo will stand at a height of 3 stories tall, being developed on around 1.5 acres of land.
