Progress Park, San Diego’s newest park, opened on October 7th, 2025 after many years of construction. Progress Park is located across Harbor Drive from the North Embarcadero Esplanade, and across Broadway from Lane Field Park. It takes up the northwestern-most parcel of the Research and Development District (RaDD) development in Downtown San Diego, and features an event lawn, and a small amphitheater with seating.

The park has been proposed since development of this site was first conceived, being included in the Manchester Pacific Gateway plan. The proximity to the Embarcadero and its public spaces makes for a sublime entrance to San Diego, and will work well in tandem with other projects nearby. The park was paid for and will be maintained by RaDD developer IQHQ until 2117.

Its opening marks the continued growth of downtown’s park space which in recent years has seen the addition of the revamped Children's Park and Gallagher Square. It will soon be joined by East Village Green, North Central Square, the 14th Street Promenade, and Freedom Park, to be located across Harbor Drive on Navy Pier.
